Gain a deeper understanding of biblical theology and doctrine

When you earn your Master of Arts in Theological Studies, you’ll be prepared to teach the Scriptures at the undergraduate level, conduct research, and write for scholarly publications. You can choose between a New Testament or Old Testament emphasis with the primary focus of each program on biblical exegesis and interpretation of the original languages.

You’ll complete your degree with a master’s thesis or research seminar, preparing you for further education or PhD programs.

Program Outcomes

As you study, you’ll learn to:

  • Use your biblical language skills to extract sound biblical theology from any passage.
  • Understand the intermediate vocabulary, grammar, and syntax of the biblical languages.
  • Research and write a graduate-level thesis related to exegesis, biblical theology, current theological issues, and applying God’s Word to your life.

A Moody seminary education is easier than ever to afford at $519 per credit hour (price subject to change per academic year). Our scholarships and payment plans help you even more by defraying the cost of tuition and spreading out your financial obligations over time. Some students may also be able to receive advanced standing credit and finish the program in fewer semesters.
