Student Employment

There are several opportunities for Moody students to find employment both on campus and off campus. Over the years, students from Moody Bible Institute have developed an excellent reputation in the surrounding neighborhoods as hardworking and trustworthy employees. The Student Employment Department receives many calls each day from individuals seeking to employ Moody students. Students may come to the Career Development Center, located on Culbertson first floor, for further information.

Off-Campus Employment Opportunities

The Student Employment Office seeks to provide students with a variety of off-campus employment opportunities that will suit an array of skill sets and expertise. Once students have arrived on campus, they are able to view available positions throughout the Chicagoland area to help finance their education, provide for personal needs and gain valuable experience in the workforce.

On-Campus Employment Opportunities

In addition to off-campus employment opportunities, Human Resources handles all on-campus student employment opportunities and also maintains job listing pages that students can view once they are on campus.

Guidelines

The maximum number of hours a student is permitted to work per week is 24 hours, on or off campus. We recommend that students carefully assess the number of hours they can work while still giving proper attention to their academic responsibilities. Sunday employment is permitted only for those students with on campus jobs which are necessary to maintain the essential services of Moody.

For more information regarding the guidelines for working as a Moody student or to find out more about off campus employment opportunities, please see the Student Employment brochure or feel free to contact Student Employment. For information about on campus employment opportunities, please feel free to contact Human Resources.
