• Brooks Named Campus Dean

    Moody Theological SeminaryMichigan announced today that the Reverend Christopher Brooks has been named campus dean of MTSMichigan. He will assume the position on Sept. 1, 2013.Christopher Brooks

    "Chris has demonstrated a deep commitment to the advancement of the gospel and the work of Christ throughout Southeastern Michigan and I am pleased that he will bring his considerable talent to advancing the mission of Moody Theological SeminaryMichigan," said  Dr. John Jelinek, vice president and dean of Moody Theological Seminary.

    Brooks has been the senior pastor of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, Mich., since 2004. He has also served on the Executive Team of Everyone a Chance to Hear (E.A.C.H.), an outreach program involving more than 500 churches in southeastern Mich. He hosts Equipped for Life, a radio program about the intersection of faith and culture and is an accomplished apologist who lectures frequently for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, the Centurions Program (a ministry of Colson Center for Christian Worldview) and the ACTON Institute where he is a Kern Fellow.

    "I am deeply committed to the advancement of the work of Christ through Moody Theological SeminaryMichigan," said Brooks. "My energy, efforts and influence will be used to develop partners, staff and relationships that will help continue MTSMichigan's impact on this region and around world."

    After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Brooks began his theological training at Moody Theological SeminaryMichigan. He received his Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics from Biola University and is a graduate of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics at University of Oxford in Oxfordshire, England.

    Christopher and his wife, Yodit, are the parents of Christopher, Zewditu and Cameron. They live in Walled Lake, Mich.
