Overview
The Certificate of Biblical Studies (C.B.S.) is an excellent choice of study for the individual who desires a solid biblical foundation in the context of formal college education. Similar to many "gap" year programs, the C.B.S. equips students with a strong groundwork for the future.
In two semesters of study, the student is exposed to the basics of Bible study, basic Bible doctrine, an overview of the Old and New Testaments, principles of evangelism and discipleship and an introduction to spiritual life and ministry skills.
All courses are fully accredited, transferable to other colleges and universities and applicable toward the associate and bachelor's degrees at Moody Bible Institute. The Certificate meets the requirements of many mission organizations requiring basic Bible at the college level. It is an excellent choice of study for those desiring to begin with Bible before pursuing higher education in a different context and for those simply undecided as to their academic direction.
