Overview
Moody's men's basketball coaching staff works diligently to help young men reach their fullest potential on and off the court so they will have the tools to face a greater challenge-living as godly men. Our program builds on the foundation begun by former players, parents, coaches and others who helped these young men realize their calling in Christ. We want these players to see the priorities of God, family, academics, and quality basketball.
The expectation of each player is to give total effort to Jesus Christ, maintain a godly attitude and show uncommon sportsmanship. With these goals accomplished, we will do what God wants us to do: honor Him.
A great deal of emphasis is placed on obtaining discipline, hard work, a selfless attitude and the ability to work as a team. We value the dignity of everyone involved-teammates, opponents, officials or fellow students-and realize our testimony for Jesus Christ is of ultimate importance.
Moody plays a varied schedule. In addition to our affiliation with the NCCAA as a Division II participant, our schedule includes NCAA III, NAIAI and II, NCCAA I and II and other independent colleges. Our goal is to win the NCCAA II Midwest Regional and represent Moody at the NCCAA National Tournament.
