Learning Venues
Dwight Lyman Moody founded Moody Bible Institute in 1886 to train laborers for the kingdom of God, and Moody Distance Learning continues to help fulfill this purpose. By making a Bible education available to students around the world, our Distance Learning options offer a variety of ways for you to take a course or earn your degree.
Online Studies
Online courses follow a convenient eight-week or semester-based format, and offer structured course materials and learning experiences with other students guided by Moody faculty. Online, self-paced format courses combine the flexibility of a six month time period with the convenience of an online format. Through these online course options you can obtain the Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies, an online Bible degree that offers at least 40 credit hours of online Bible courses and at least 24 credit hours of online ministry courses.
Independent Study
Independent Study courses allow students to take undergraduate print correspondence format courses on their own time and at their own pace.
Regional Classrooms
Regional Classrooms enable undergraduate students to learn in a classroom setting and are typically held in evenings and on weekends, to best accommodate the time constraints of busy students.
Modular Classes
Modular Classes are graduate courses offered in a one-week educational experience augmented by pre-and post-class assignments.
Spokane Campus
Moody Bible Institute – Spokane, a branch campus of Moody Bible Institute, offers a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies degree, Bachelor of Science in Mission Aviation Technology degrees, Associate of Biblical Studies degree and Certificate of Biblical Studies.
Blended
Students have the flexibility to choose classes from a combination of the distance learning venues mentioned above.
