What Others Say About the Tour

“I no longer read the Bible in the same way. The trip made everything more clear and vivid, and now I can actually be in the locations of the chapters I’m reading. One trip to Israel is worth four or five Bible classes put together.“
Richmond Wandera, Uganda, 2010 Israel Study Tour Participant

Light shining down stairwell in Israel“One of the best aspects of our time in Israel is being able to visualize all of the different places that are referenced in the Old and New Testament. When we read about the Sea of Galilee we now know what it must have looked like because we sailed that same sea and traveled the same routes along the coast that are recorded in the Bible.“
Danielle and Alex Whitaker, Antioch, Ill., 2011 Israel Study Tour Participants

“When asked how having a Moody professor along enhanced our trip, many people would say a hundred-fold but I would say a thousand-fold. Not only was Walt McCord familiar with all the facts and figures with each site, but he even knew the best route for the bus driver to drive when there was a closure!”
Gail Kujuwa, Downers Grove, Ill., 2010 Israel Study Tour Participant

“Going to Israel totally revolutionized the way I read Scripture. No longer is there an ambiguous person writing from an ambiguous place by an ambiguous body of water. Flesh was put on bones, and it was amazing.”
Christopher Lash, Batavia, Ill., 2010 Israel Study Tour Participant

“Having a Moody professor guiding the trip made a huge difference. For example, in the City of David we learned that a significant group of scholars places the ancient city of Salem in that spot. This means we were close to the spot where Melchizedek met Abraham. I wouldn't have made that connection. The profs also made it fun to learn and kept the atmosphere light-hearted on the bus. It was a great combination of scholarship, devotional time, and fun.”
Jeff Clark, Caledonia, Mich., 2011 Israel Study Tour Participant
