Timothy Scarbrough

Tim Scarbrough is a Professor of Counseling at Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan. He is a native of West Virginia and retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 21 years as a Cryptologist and Navy Counselor. He taught counseling and psychology classes as an Adjunct for two years before assuming his current position as Assistant Professor. He also served from 2020-2024, as the Clinic Manager of Moody Plymouth campus’s InterSessions Counseling Center, training and mentoring students during their Practicum and Internship experience. Tim and his wife, Rena, have two children (Aaron and Eliana).

Tim Scarbrough has been formally trained in clinical psychology, counseling, and theology and endorses an integrative theoretical approach toward the disciplines. He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hunter and hiker. He also enjoys carpentry and large building projects.
