Moody Theological Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching program will prepare you to communicate God’s Word with clarity, precision, relevance, and conviction to a wide range of audiences. Our ATS-accredited degree program provides the exceptional instruction and hands-on mentorship you need to develop strong, transformative preaching skills that convey biblical truth with power, accuracy, persuasion, and passion.

The biblical preaching concentration also sharpens your proficiency in composition, delivery, language, and presentation with an emphasis on helping members of your congregation apply God’s Word in their own circumstances.

Designed for anyone with a Master of Divinity or equivalent and a commitment to Bible-centered preaching, this 30-credit hour program will allow you to continue in your current ministry or connect with one here in Chicago. You can also study fully in person or in a modular format that combines our in-person and online classes.

Here’s How We’ll Prepare You for Ministry

Through your Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching degree, you will:
Demonstrate advanced exegetical skill for the proclamation of God’s Word with sensitivity to the individual pericope, literary genre, and canonical-theological context.
Develop advanced skill in sermon composition and delivery with sensitivity to the use of language and presentation.
Relate the theology of the biblical text with authority and sensitivity to contemporary life, diverse contexts, and specific audiences.
