Dr. Mark Alan Williams ’76

Dr. Mark Alan Williams ’76 currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Church Planting Materials and Partnerships with Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) based in Oceanside, California. The organization has a vision to plant five million churches worldwide, and to this end Dr. Williams has written a book on church planting: Winning the World for Christ: the Untapped Potential of Mother-Daughter Church Planting. Additionally he co-authored two books, TheNew Dynamic Church Planting Handbook (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, 2013) andThe Dynamic Daughter Church Planting Handbook (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, 1999).
Dr. Williams is the founding pastor of two churches and has planted several daughter churches and partner churches. In addition to graduating from Moody, he holds a B.A. from Biola University, a M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology and a D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary. In 2010, Mark was named Moody’s Alumnus of the Year. He has trained leaders on five continents and in many countries. Mark and his wife Carolyn were married in 1979 and have three sons: Gabriel, Daniel, and Benjamin.
