Graduate Opportunities for Spiritual Growth
Deepen Your Faith as You Earn Your Degree
Your walk with Christ is core to everything you are. That’s why your spiritual development is central to a Moody education. At Moody, academic excellence and spiritual vitality go hand in hand. No matter what degree you pursue, you will experience exponential spiritual growth as you prepare for ministry inside and outside of the classroom. From regular chapels and prayer days to special events, Bible-centered discussions, and mentoring relationships, Moody offers unique opportunities for you to deepen your faith and train you for your path to God’s purpose in your life.
Weekly Chapel
Chapel is an integral part of the educational experience at Moody Bible Institute. Each chapel seeks to enhance Christian life and character by encouraging the discipline of corporate worship and addressing issues fundamental to Christian living. It also serves as a strategic time to develop a deep sense of community on campus.
Chapels are typically held in Torrey-Gray Auditorium on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and feature worship and praise along with Bible-focused messages from renowned pastors, ministry leaders, and Moody faculty. The content of these chapels is designed to provide encouragement and instruction for students.
Audio recordings from the current academic year are available online.

Theological Lectureship
Our annual Theological Lectureship consists of two chapels each spring that feature a well-known theologian speaking on current matters of theology.
Mentoring and Spiritual Development
The faculty in our graduate programs are outstanding instructors, but their impact on students goes far beyond teaching course materials in the classroom. A key aspect of our professors’ role at Moody is mentoring their students in their spiritual growth as followers of Christ. This mentoring relationship is accomplished through one-on-one interaction, small group instruction, spiritual direction during and after classes, and connections with students during faculty office hours and scheduled meetings.
Our faculty consider it an honor to offer spiritual coaching, wisdom, and discernment that help students develop a closer walk with God and a more intimate understanding of His Word.
