About Plymouth

MTS–Michigan is located minutes from old downtown Plymouth, where students have access to coffee shops and places to take an occasional break between classes. Founded in 1867 by settlers from Plymouth, Mass., the city has a population of nearly 10,000 and features a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants and specialty stores located around a central park. The downtown area has been recently renovated, and the city offers family and community events throughout the year.

Although MTS–Michigan is a non-residential campus, there are several apartment complexes within a reasonable distance from the seminary. Library

The Michigan campus features a complete library with a collection that reflects and supports the curriculum, provides access to bibliographic tools and databases, offers interlibrary loan services, and possesses a knowledgeable and attentive staff.

Social Life

Fellowship and recreation for students are important parts of the seminary experience. The Student Leadership Team organizes social events, social gatherings and seminars that include students from all academic programs, faculty and special guests.

Student Lounge

The Student Lounge is located on the first floor of the main building. It provides a place for students to interact, eat, study or relax. The lounge also includes student mailboxes, student information boards, microwaves and a beverage area for student use.

InterSessions Counseling Center

InterSessions is a psychological services clinic on the MTS—Michigan campus that provides a quality, affordable service to the community and practicum experience for our alumni and students enrolled in our Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (M.A.C.P.) program.    

The clinic staff, under the direction of Dr. John Restum, is providing a wide array of psychological services at affordable rates. Beyond integrative and professional psychotherapy services, InterSessions also offers psychological testing and therapy-based support groups to its clients.

Qualified clients, including individuals, children, couples and families, can be seen for as low as $30 per session at our private-pay facility.

Opportunities for Spiritual Growth 

Chapel

Moody Theological Seminary-Michigan joins the weekly President's Chapel service from Chicago via livestream on Tuesdays from 11AM-12PM (EST). MTS-Michigan also holds times of worship and prayer on campus periodically. Students receive communication regarding these on-campus services.

Other Growth Opportunities

At Moody Theological Seminary, the personal spiritual growth of our student body is our number one priority. For this reason, MTS and Moody Bible Institute offer special programs and conferences throughout the school year for the specific purpose of encouraging healthy spiritual growth among students.

Day of Prayer

The first Wednesday of March is set aside for Moody's annual Day of Prayer. Students, faculty and staff meet corporately and privately throughout the day to practice the discipline of intercessory prayer.
