Choosing a major can be complicated, but a Moody education gives you a broad foundation for ministry, no matter which concentration you pick. Our advice: choose a major that will give you training where your passion lies and where you feel God is leading you. The department of Intercultural Studies offers the following majors.
|Applied Linguistics||Gain the skills necessary to understand how languages are structured and how to learn to speak them to use in ministry opportunities such as Bible translation, language survey and literacy.|
|Pursue a ministry of outreach and discipleship as an evangelist, a member of a church-planting team, a teacher or a leader in outreach and discipleship ministries.|
|Be equipped to serve in the global church in a wide range of ministries and present Jesus Christ to the unreached.|
|Jewish Studies||Prepare for ministry among Jewish people, learning the background, customs, history and thinking of the Jewish people and the best methods of presenting Jesus of Nazareth in His messianic and redemptive fulfillment.|
|TESOL||Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages majors are equipped and trained to minister through the effective teaching of English.|
|Urban Ministries||Earn ministry training for service in a multicultural urban context.|
