You’ll form relationships with other men and women who want to grow as they continue serving in their ministries around Chicago. Learn effective strategies for powerful and sound biblical interpretation.

Courses are offered at Moody Bible Institute’s Chicago campus, taught by Moody faculty and staff. Earn a certificate when you complete the course, plus continuing education units (CEU courses do not meet college credit requirements).

Baptized Worldiness: Interpreting Judges for the Contemporary Church

A Spiritual Leadership Academy One-Day Event

In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes (Judges 17:6).

Through almost invisible means, the world’s ideas about life, morality, success, and family have a way of becoming part of the way we think and live as a church. Our best strivings for holiness are subject to temptation as we try to live at peace with worldviews opposing the Christian faith. Even things once completely out of bounds for believers manage to be reinvented with newly acceptable labels and perspectives.

In this one-day event, we will explore the message of the writer of Judges to those living at a time of great compromise. In its pages, we will find a wealth of applications for strengthening the church against the tide of relativism. As a parallel narrative in the New Testament, we will see the working of the Lord Jesus to challenge the people of God to uphold him alone as King in their own eyes. Join us for this insightful study!
