Within the division of Student Life, the Office of Student Care and Concern is comprised of Health Service, the Student Resource Center, and Student Care and Concern.
SCC’s Mission and Values
Mission: We exist to offer holistic support, resources, advocacy, and accountability for every student.
Values: In every interaction, we value the dignity of each individual. We seek to approach every student in a redemptive, restorative, individually focused, and collectively aware way.
What SCC Does:
- Helping students with the next steps & finding resources
- Communicating with professors amid emergencies
- Meeting with students
- Well-being checks
- Referring students to counseling
- Following up with students after a loss, family crisis, or mental health or medical incident
- Processing medical/compassionate withdrawals
- Contacting emergency contacts
- Advocating for students

Cultivate Podcast
Cultivate is a podcast hosted by the Office of Student Care and Concern. We want to equip disciples of Christ with some tools to cultivate fruit in their lives at Moody and beyond. Our team interviews faculty, counselors, students, authors, and more as we engage with relevant topics relating to our holistic well-being and growth.
