To be considered for admission, you must
have been a Christian for at least one year and actively participate in a
Protestant church. In addition, the following items are required as part of the

the forms before distributing them. After completing the forms, referents

or the referents should mail it to the Admissions Office.
If your church is without a pastor, or your pastor is a relative, this form
may be given to a former pastor, a minister friend, or a church official. It
must be someone who has known you for at least one year and has had the
opportunity to observe your spiritual life. The individual cannot be a

These two references should be filled out by mature Christian adults (one
male and one female) who have known you at least one year and who are not
relatives of yours.
Applicants are required to take one of these tests
no later than the early part of their senior year in high school so that the
results can be sent to the Admissions Office by the application deadline.
Consult with your high school guidance counselor for testing information.
The Moody code number for reporting ACT is 1088 and for SAT is 1486.
Exemption is granted only to those who have completed one year (30 semester
hours) of college-level work at an acceptable academic level (2.3 GPA minimum)
or to those who have been away from secondary education for a period of two
years. International applicants are not required to submit ACT or SAT
This test must be taken by all international applicants from countries where
English is not the official language. A minimum score of 550 (paper-based), 213
(computer-based) or 79 (Internet-based) is required for admission.

Because the examination is given only a few times each
year, it is important to write at the earliest possible date. Information
about taking the examination is provided by the testing service. The results
are to be sent directly to Moody Bible Institute. Moody Bible Institute
offers no English training programs, and international students are expected
to possess sufficient proficiency to engage in full-time study in the
English language. An international student application will not be
considered until the results of this exam are received.
