Several significant features include the women of the genealogy, the gentiles of the genealogy, and the kings of the genealogy starting with David. This is a good reminder, as Christmas time approaches, that Jesus is savior and messianic king for all the world.

Dr. Tony Caffey is the Senior Pastor of Verse By Verse Fellowship Church in San Antonio, Texas. Tony earned a Master of Divinity degree from Moody Bible Institute, and later a Ph.D. in Old Testament studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Tony is also an Adjunct Professor for Moody Bible Institute teaching classes in Theology and OT studies.
