Professor McCracken began his study of aviation at age 19, pursuing his private pilot's license. He then used that license both formally and informally as an instructor during his two decades of military service. He has completed multiple aviation-related courses including aviation maintenance, aviation safety, and formal instructor courses.
Professor McCracken is a husband and father who loves exploring the outdoors. He enjoys coaching his children's athletic teams and coming alongside them in their hobbies. He is intentional about participating in men's groups where they study the Bible and grow in their walks together, and he hopes to pass that knowledge and love for God's Word on to his students.
