February 1st, 2022: During Black History Month each year I pause to reflect on how God moves and works in so many circumstances to fulfill His purpose. Often the situations seem impossible and oppressive, especially for those who have gone before us and faced challenges that seemed difficult to overcome.

Wesley was given his first name after the founder of Methodism, John Wesley. His middle name was taken from Isaiah 11:1, “A shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse and a ‘branch’ from its roots will bear fruit.”
