This Month's Free Lecture
If you haven’t taken one of our biblically based, informative courses, now’s your chance to get a taste of our course content with a new monthly live lecture series! We are offering lectures around different biblical and ministry topics that apply directly to your life and ministry.
Topic: When I Can’t Forgive My Enemies
Jesus tells us to love our enemies, to bless those who curse us, and to turn the other cheek when we’re struck in the face. But we read in the Psalms verses like, “Break the teeth in the mouths, O God,”and “May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow”. What are these verses doing in the Psalms, of all places, and how do they apply to the Christian life? In this month’s Moody Enrich lecture, Russ Meek will talk about his experience of growing up in an abusive home and how verses like these allowed him to express to God his anger and the injustice he experienced—and eventually made room for him to forgive his enemy. Please note that Russ will be frankly discussing issues of domestic violence and substance abuse as it relates to his story of healing and forgiveness.
Tuesday, October 17th at 7pm CST. (Online/Virtual)
