Day One is a great way to get a glimpse of Moody student life. Not only will you get the advantages of a normal day visit, but you will:
- meet faculty and staff
- connect with current students
- share student life experiences, including classes and meal time
- attend a special chapel service
Parents are encouraged to attend with prospective students. While the students are in class, parents will be able to learn more about safety on campus, student services, opportunities for ministry, first year experience, and financial information.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and the day will end at 3 p.m.
Day One Dates for the 2016-2017 School year:
- Friday, Sept. 8th, 2017
- Friday, Nov. 17th, 2017
- Friday, Jan. 19th, 2018
- Friday, Feb. 16th, 2018

All prospective students and their parents are invited to visit Moody's Chicago campus to enjoy a day of activities.
During the school year, an information session about Moody's academic programs and student life begins at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, followed by chapel (no chapel on Monday or Friday), class, a complimentary lunch, and campus tour.
To schedule a day or overnight visit, please fill out the visit request form. An individual one-day visit requires at least one-week advance notice. Overnight accommodations for prospective students are available from September through May with at least three weeks advance notice. Due to the volume of visitors and other campus events, we are unable to offer overnight housing to additional guests or family members—please keep in mind that not all requests may be granted. Please have alternate dates in mind when making your reservation. Full day and overnight visits will resume on Monday, August 22, 2016.
Summer Visit Information: Our summer visits will begin on Monday, May 9 and continue through Friday, August 19.
During the summer we offer visits for prospective students Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. These visits include an informational session and a tour of the campus. During the summer, we are unable to offer overnight stays, dorm room tours, lunch in the dining hall, and chapel or class visits.
Youth groups are welcome to visit for a day. Arrangements should be made at least two weeks in advance. Due to limited space, overnight accommodations are not available to groups.
If you would like to schedule a group visit, please contact the Admissions Department, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT, at (800) 967-4MBI.
Tours for all Moody guests are offered daily, Monday through Friday at 11 a.m (excluding Institute holidays). Beginning in the D. L. Moody Museum, located on the first floor of Smith Hall, guests will view an eight-minute historical video on the life of Moody's founder, Dwight Lyman Moody. The video is followed by a 45-minute walking tour of the campus led by a current Moody student.
If you have a group of 10 or more guests, we would be happy to schedule a special tour for your group. Please contact the Events and Guest Services Department at (312) 329-4404.
