Resources for equipping the next generation of Christian leaders for excellence in ministry
Now more than ever, God’s church needs biblically trained leaders who will lead with boldness, compassion, and integrity. The Moody Theological Seminary (MTS) Center for Advanced Global Leadership Studies (CAGLS) was created to stand as a beacon of transformation in Christian leadership education and practice.
The Center aims to inspire and equip current and future Christian leaders through one-hour webinars, half-day workshops, and two-day leadership conferences. Annually, there will be nine webinars, three workshops, and one conference.
Diverse, relevant, and practical topics will address real-life issues for experienced or emerging leaders, delivered by outstanding subject matter experts both in person and virtually. The Center will also offer a customized mentoring program by experienced, well-known Christian leaders. The two-day leadership conference will feature top ministry practitioners and provide printed resources. We aspire to integrate theological and biblical principles with the most current leadership best practices, fostering leaders who are deeply grounded in their walk with God and His Word.
The MTS CAGLS seeks not only to educate but to nurture a culture of excellence, godly character, collaboration, and service among its students and constituents, empowering them to excel in ministry.
Training Resources
The CAGLS offers workshops and webinars, providing outstanding biblically based leadership and ministry instruction for students and the global church.
Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission
Our mission is to serve the diverse needs of the local church by equipping Christ-centered leaders worldwide with the knowledge, skills, and godly character essential for transformative and visionary biblical leadership.
Vision
The Center’s vision, with Scripture as our foundation, is to shape leaders who navigate the challenges of the future with biblical wisdom and integrity, illuminate the path for others, and leave an enduring impact on Christian ministry.
Values
One of our primary goals is to cultivate leaders who embody biblical faith, godly, Christ-centered character, and who have an unwavering theological commitment to serving the global church and the world through transformative leadership.
Supporting the Global Church
Additionally, the MTS CAGLS seeks to come alongside local churches, mission agencies, and parachurch ministries as a resource and partner. Through its educational initiatives and ministry training programs, the Center aims to collaborate with these groups to enhance leadership development and facilitate more effective ministry engagement within local communities. We are committed to:
- Equipping Christian leaders for excellence with the skills, knowledge, and godly character required to excel in ministry leadership. This includes cultivating leadership excellence among leaders from diverse ethnic backgrounds to ensure a well-rounded representation and richer learning environment.
- Coming alongside the local church to help resource and equip leaders in churches, mission agencies, and ministry settings, while improving leadership effectiveness and contributing to vibrant Christian communities that embrace the Great Commission.
- Grounding our leadership training in biblical principles and evaluating contemporary leadership best practices through the lens of Scripture, blending applied theology with scripturally informed, state-of-the-art leadership strategies.
- Advancing biblically based leadership through research and rigorous study, ensuring that our leadership curriculum and tools remain anchored to Christ while meeting evolving ministry demands.
- Cultivating an attitude of prayerful dependence on God and a culture of excellence, character, collaboration, and service among participants. The Center will nurture these values in leaders through mentorship, virtual and in-person training, and published resources.
